Blurb: What if a successful, single Londoner and a comfortable, Conneticut mother of two were to walk in each other's shoes for a month? Vicky Townsend is the director of Poise! magazine and lives a glamorous London life. She has everything she wants- except marriage, children and a house in the country. Amber Winslow has a stone mansion in Conneticut, two kids, and a nanny, but she hasn't found the fulfillment she had expected from being a wife and a mother. When she spots an intriguing contest in Poise!, Amber never expects to be chosen.
This is not a straightforward story of romance. - 1st line.
The cover: The cover is very simple and endearing. It reminds me of a young girl's secret journal or a sweet bookmark pattern. Pretty.
The Story: I actually found this book on my desk last January. My roomie Dr Mali had bought it for me from BookExcess as a birthday present. So sweet. I'm not a huge chick lit fan (in fact I mostly stay away from the genre) but after reading the first chapter, I am hopeful that this will turn out to be a decent read. It actually reminds me of that movie, The Holiday starring Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz.
